Artistic Director, Dancer, Instructor, Choreographer
Debbie is a graduate of Roger Williams University.
She has been performing on stage since the age of 8 in various dance revues and musical productions throughout RI and Massachusetts. Her training began studying modern dance with the R.J. West Modern Dance Troupe in Providence. She also studied with The Rhode Island College Dance Company in it's early years of being established under the direction of the late Dr. Fannie Melcer. She has studied modern dance, jazz, lyrical, and ballet with artists such as Clay Taliafaro, Alvin Ailey Dance Co., Frank Hatchett, Jeannette Neil, Adrienne Hawkins, Jeremy Anderson, Eva Marie Pacheco, to name a few. Debbie has choreographed and staged many dance productions over the years and has been a dance instructor for over 25 years. In 1994 she performed at the Barker Playhouse in Providence production of Pajama Game. In July, 2000 she performed in Bristol Theatre Company's production of “Evita”. She also choreographed production numbers for the RI Junior Miss Scholarship Program in 1997 & 1998. She also teaches hip hop classes at the after school program, at the Bristol Parks and Recreational Center, also teaches an adult dance class at Rockwell Elementary School in Bristol. Debbie choreographed and coached contestants for the Miss & Little Miss 4th of July Pageant in Bristol held every May. Her most recent endeavor is the role of Mary Magdalene in the musical production of Jesus Christ Superstar in April, 2004, at the Seekonk Congregational Church, and will be performing again in the same production in March, 2005.
She established the Studio 34 Dance Company in July of 1994 to offer jazz, ballet, tap and aerobic classes to adult students and serves as Artistic Director. She also teaches jazz and ballet classes at the studio.
Gina Carbone
Teacher, Dancer, Choreographer
Gina has been dancing since the age of 3, taking a wide variety of classes, including ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance. Her teaching experiences ranges from instructing children in ballet, jazz and tap, to teaching adult jazz and aerobic classes. She has performed in numerous dance recitals and local benefits. Last year, Gina coordinated a faculty talent show to raise money for the West Broadway Elementary School where she is a third grade teacher. Gina has choreographed the aerobic fitness dance production for the RI Jr. Miss Scholarship Program for 1997 & 1998. In July, 2000 she performed in Bristol Theatre Company's production of “Evita”. Gina holds a Master's degree in Special Education from Providence College. Gina presently teaches jazz, lyrical, and aerobic classes to adults at Studio 34.
